Yankee Housewrights Updates this Rhode Island Seaside Estate and Coastal Rhode Island Home

This Rhode Island seaside estate renovation included a reconfigured entrance, pool house and a major relocation and updating of services and mechanical systems while respecting its original 1890’s character.
The white-cedar lattice pergola clarified the entrance, increased privacy and safety, and produced an outdoor entry foyer. Rafter ends echo the crown molding inside and hanging baskets are framed within easy reach.
The pool house interior features heated floors of river stone, black slate, peacock slate, and locally commissioned quarter sawn, long length, native oak. Some windows were constructed, others were purchased.
Master-craftsmanship engineering of the imported shower tiles results in a matched, centered pattern which is fully symmetrical. Hidden mechanicals for the special order deep whirlpool tub are accessible for future maintenance.
